1 Pound Red Kidney Beans — Cooked
3 Quarts Beef Broth
4 Ounces Ham — Chopped
2 Large Onion — Chopped
2 Large Bell Pepper — Chopped
1 Stalk Celery — Chopped
1 Large Carrot — Chopped
5 Cloves Garlic — Chopped
2 Medium Bay Leaf
1 Medium Jalapeno — Chopped
2 Teaspoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
1 Pinch Allspice
1 Pinch Cayenne
1 Pinch Ground Cloves
1 Pinch Chili Powder
Salt And Pepper — To Taste
Directions
Combine stock and ham. Bring to a boil, add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Serve over rice if desired.
