2 Large Eggs — Separate Out Yolks
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cream Of Tartar
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Buttermilk
7 Tablespoons Butter — Melted
1/4 Cup Nuts — Ground, Optional
1/4 Cup Apple — Chopped, Optional

Directions

Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks. Set aside. Sift together, flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, sugar and salt. Beat egg yolks with the buttermilk. Combine flour mixture with buttermilk mixture. Stir well. Fold in egg whites. Add nuts and apple. Cook in your waffle iron until done. Serve.

Serves 4
