1/2 Cup Butter
1 Large Onion — finely chopped
3 Stalks Celery — finely chopped
2 Teaspoons Garlic — finely chopped
1 Cup Tomato Puree
1/2 Cup Cider Vinegar
1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar — packed
1 Cup Beef Stock
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
2 Medium Bay Leaf
2 Teaspoons Pepper
2 Teaspoons Cayenne
1 Teaspoon Cumin
2 Teaspoons Chili Powder
Salt — to taste
Directions
Melt butter in saucepan and sauce onion, celery, and garlic until soft. About 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Allow sauce to rest for 1 hour. Good with any meat.
